My home in Yosemite West offers a secluded respite 18 miles inside the South Entrance of Yosemite. Nestled in the trees at 6000' in elevation, and far away from the surrounding Valley communities, Yosemite Hideout is midway between the Yosemite Valley waterfalls and granite monoliths, the Giant Sequoias in the Mariposa Grove and the breathtaking views from Glacier Point and Sentinel Dome. Yosemite Hideout is the ideal place to set up your base-camp!! (This is a brand new listing and the calender is wide open!)

Yosemite Hideout is a three bedroom, two 1/2 bath house deep inside the park boundaries. Yosemite Hideout is PERFECT for family getaways! There is a large two car garage on the road at the main house level, making unloading your car quick and easy, even in the winter!! Three large private decks float high in a pine tree canopy on the property with the two largest facing west where you experience the wonderful sunsets. Enjoy a barbeque, a glass of wine and good cheer on the deck recounting your day's adventures and explorations of Yosemite.

If you prefer to cook a gourmet meal, Yosemite Hideout has a HUGE fully appointed kitchen with full-sized appliance, spacious counter tops, and all the cooking equipment and gear you will need including pots, pans, Oxo utensils, coffee maker, toaster, blender, electric beater, tea pot, microwave and plenty of interesting cookbooks! You will have your choice between informal eating on the porch under the umbrella, or the adjustable butterfly table in the dining room.

Yosemite Hideout's living areas are on the top floor away from the downstairs bedrooms. In the living room you will find a flat screen television with Acoustat speakers, an extensive DVD collection, Yosemite Guidebooks, novels and comfortable seating. Satellite internet is available for checking your email and browsing. (Please note that the satellite internet is NOT sufficient to stream video or other bandwidth intensive activities).

Yosemite Hideout has been my home for the past almost three decades. This year is the first year I have made it available for guests to enjoy. My good friends and neighbors Melissa and Jeff are close by and quickly onsite in case you need assistance with the house. They have kindly offered to help make your stay at Yosemite Hideout a memorable vacation!
